Why GlueTread's Machined T-Handles Are the Best on the Market

Why GlueTread's Machined T-Handles Are the Best on the Market

When you're dealing with a flat tire, the last thing you need is a tool that fails when you need it most. That’s exactly what happened to our CEO, Andy, when he was using a plastic, foreign-made T-handle from one of our earlier kits: it broke. That moment made it clear—something had to change, and it needed to be a company-wide shift.

At GlueTread, we don’t just sell products; we continuously improve them. That’s why we designed and manufactured the only tire repair kits on the market that features a U.S.machined T-handle—built for durability, reliability, and performance when you need them most.

Stronger Tools for Tougher Jobs

When you're making an emergency tire repair, you're already having a bad day. We made sure our T-handles wouldn’t add to your frustration. By switching from plastic to U.S.-machined aluminum handles, we’ve significantly increased their strength and durability, eliminating the chance of breakage, even under tough conditions. While there are other T-handles made in the USA, ours is the only machined version, offering superior durability and precision that plastic simply can’t match.

A Commitment to Quality and Domestic Manufacturing

Wherever possible, we bring production in-house and source from U.S. suppliers because we believe in American manufacturing. Our machined T-handles are a direct reflection of that commitment: precision-made and built to last.

We’ve even taken it a step further: when we upgraded our T-handles, we didn’t just roll out a new product. We replaced outdated plastic handles for customers who had purchased earlier kits—completely free of charge. That’s not something you’ll see from just any company, but at GlueTread, standing behind our products (and our customers) is what we do.
